The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced plans to expand coding, artificial intelligence and digital literacy modules for students from Classes VI to X beginning next academic session.
Under the revised framework, students will receive structured exposure to computational thinking, basic programming, cybersecurity awareness and ethical use of AI tools. Teachers will undergo specialised training, and updated digital lab resources will be rolled out in phases across affiliated schools.
Education experts say the move aligns with the National Education Policy’s focus on skill-based learning and aims to prepare students for a technology-driven future job market.
