Former US President Bill Clinton has concluded hours of testimony before the House Oversight Committee, where lawmakers questioned him about his past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

During the closed-door session, Clinton was asked about a photograph that reportedly showed him in a hot tub alongside Epstein and others. According to sources familiar with the proceedings, investigators sought clarification on the context of the image and Clinton’s relationship with Epstein during the period in question.

Clinton told lawmakers that he “saw nothing” that indicated Epstein was involved in criminal wrongdoing at the time of their interactions. He has previously acknowledged flying on Epstein’s private plane on multiple occasions for charitable and foundation-related travel but has consistently denied visiting Epstein’s private island or being aware of any illegal activities.

The committee’s inquiry forms part of a broader review into the network of high-profile figures who had contact with Epstein before his arrest and subsequent death in custody in 2019. Lawmakers have been examining flight logs, photographs, and communication records in an effort to clarify the extent of Epstein’s connections.

Clinton’s representatives have reiterated that the former president severed ties with Epstein long before his criminal conduct became widely known. The committee has not yet indicated whether further testimony will be required.
